Riverview Christian Early Learning Center was awarded the Pre-K Counts grant in July, 2019. This grant allows us to deliver high-quality pre-kindergarten programs to 90 age-appropriate children at no cost to income eligible families in Berks County. Children must be between age three and the entry age for kindergarten and living in families earning up to 300 percent of the poverty level (family of four with an annual gross income of $93,600). Children may also be impacted by other risk factors, such as English Language Learners, family in the welfare system, or having disabilities or developmental delays.

We are licensed and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and comply with all standards set forth by that department.​​ We are also a Keystone Stars STAR 4 Center, the highest level achievable. Expanding access to high-quality, early childhood education is a proven investment and priority for Pennsylvania. Pre-K Counts provides high-quality pre-kindergarten services to at-risk three- and four-year olds at no cost to families. Children living in families earning up to 300 percent of poverty, or a family of four earning $93,600 annually, are eligible to apply. Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts is offered in school districts, Keystone STARS 3 and 4 child care programs, Head Start programs, and licensed nursery schools.
